Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, emotionally disconnected, or stuck in patterns that are affecting your happiness and relationships? You don't have to navigate these challenges alone. As a Christian Counselor, Mental Health Counselor, and Clinical Supervisor with over 25 years of experience in the counseling field, I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, teens, and families find healing, strengthen their relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My counseling experience spans public schools, colleges, universities, and private practice, where I have worked since 2005. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, a Master's degree and Specialist degree in Counseling and Human Systems from Florida State University, and a Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.
My professional credentials include National Certified Counselor, Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider, and AASECT sex therapy credentials. I am licensed to provide mental health counseling in Florida, Wisconsin, and New Jersey and hold a Florida certification in Guidance and School Counseling.
As the Doctor of Intimacy, I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate emotional and physical intimacy concerns, sexual challenges, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, loneliness, anger management, and major life transitions. I also work with clients experiencing grief, addiction, abuse, decision-making difficulties, and career-related stress.
My therapeutic approach combines compassion, practical guidance, and evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. These approaches help clients recognize unhealthy thought patterns, develop effective coping strategies, improve communication, and discover solutions that support their personal and relationship goals.
My Christian faith also informs my belief that counseling is about walking alongside others as they carry life's challenges. For clients who desire it, I can incorporate Christian values and faith-based perspectives into the counseling process while respecting each individual's personal beliefs and experiences.
I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, valued, and supported. My goal is to create a welcoming, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your challenges, recognize your strengths, and build healthier connections with yourself and others.
I am a member of the American Counseling Association and have served as President of the Gulf Coast Mental Health Association.
Whether you're seeking individual counseling, couples therapy, sex therapy, or support through a difficult season of life, I am here to help you take the next step toward healing, personal growth, and deeper intimacy.
